Delegates of The Bahamas trade mission to Washington, DC, addressed the DC Chamber of Commerce this week, including representatives from technology and tourism organizations, and a logistic company specializing in free trade zones, among others.
Presentations were made by the Ministry of Tourism, a Grand Bahama real estate firm, the Grand Bahama Port Authority, and the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employer’s Confederation (BCCEC).
Leader of the delegation, Minister of State for Grand Bahama Kwasi Thompson, addressed the gathering on the government’s investment push and benefits of investing in The Bahamas, in particular Grand Bahama.
The BCCEC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the DC Chamber.
The delegation visited the Inter-American Development Bank, and were briefed on programmes available for small business funding that Bahamians can access.
The day ended with a reception for the Bahamian diaspora.
