MIAMI, May 14, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — The first hotel chain born in the Dominican Republic with an international presence, Viva Resorts is celebrating 25 years of trajectory in the tourism industry. The vanguard company is continually evolving to offer relevant vacation experiences throughout the passage of time and in markets worldwide.

Viva Resort’s first property was the Dominicus Beach Resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic and is still the resort company’s signature property. Part of the company’s growth includes five all-inclusive resort properties throughout Mexico and the Caribbean, in addition to the Dominicus Beach Resort. The additional properties include the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace in La Romana, Dominican Republic, and the Viva Wyndham Tangerine located in Cabarete, Dominican Republic, the Viva Wyndham Maya and the Viva Wyndham Azteca, both located in Playacar, Mexico, and the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach on Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas.

Ettore Colussi, president of Viva Resorts, together with Dominican and Italian partners, envisioned a prosperous future for the company since its beginning and it is reaffirmed today with the 25th anniversary. This milestone underscores the company’s brand strength, growth in the all-inclusive resort market and Viva’s overall success in diversifying its business portfolio in other tourism segments.

“The Viva brand has become synonymous with providing a true vacation experience that starts with the destination and combines local culture, adventure, a variety of high-energy and relaxing activities, entertainment and international cuisine at an exceptional value. Our Alliance in 2003 with Wyndham Worldwide continues to strengthen our international presence in the North American market. Staying true to our core brand values is the reason we are celebrating the longevity of Viva Resorts and the success of our company,” said Ettore Colussi, founder and president of Viva Resorts. “To show our gratitude to the Viva Resorts and Viva Wyndham Resorts brand loyalists, we are offering a wealth of packages, promotions and more at all of our all-inclusive properties throughout the year. We look forward to celebrating future milestones and to continuing to offer exceptional vacation experiences.”

To commemorate the 25th anniversary, Viva Resorts is offering 25 special packages, promotions, contests and celebrations at its all-inclusive properties throughout the year. A sampling includes:

Special Packages – The Sweet Star package, a new Quinceanera and Sweet 16 package; the Viva Grand package which offers guests a suite of VIP services in addition to its all-inclusive offering; and special packages for seniors and a ladies getaway.

Special Promotions – Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Sweepstakes and a 25 percent discount for online bookings.

Special Contests – These will be hosted on Viva Wyndham’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/vivaresorts .
