The Minister of Financial Services, Trade & Industry and Immigration Elsworth Johnson, members of his Ministry and industry professionals from The Bahamas attended the 2019 Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) LATAM conference held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, October 17- 18, 2019.

The conference provided an overview of the financial services industry with a focus on wealth management geared to “Building Knowledge Across Borders Advising Families Today and Tomorrow”, along with bringing together estate planning and trust practitioners in Latin America.

Minister Johnson, his team and industry professionals dialogued, promoted and networked with over 400 industry experts worldwide on The Bahamas as a choice destination for financial services.

Bahamian basketball star, actor and now entrepreneur Rick Fox was the keynote speaker on the second day and spoke about the new wealth being generated through “E-Gaming and Youth Empowerment”.
