The Blue Ribbon Panel appointed for the Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB)’s Industry Excellence Awards 2015 has held its first meeting to consider the nominations.

The awards programme recognises outstanding industry practitioners in a number of categories, including Executive of the Year, Mentor of the Year, Professional of the Year, and Achiever of the Year.


Recipients in each of the categories will be recognized at the 2015 Gala Awards Dinner on November 20. In addition, BFSB will recognise a 2015 graduate from the School of Business at the College of the Bahamas, as FSI Student of the Year.

Deltec has been named Best Private Bank in The Bahamas by Global Finance in its first annual World’s Best Private Banks Awards.

Pakistan's High Commissioner Jalil Abbas Jilani has presented his credentials to the Governor General of The Bahamas and expressed the desire to strengthen the cordial ties existing between the two countries and further their work together promoting shared interests in areas of economic development, climate change, peace keeping, trade, tourism and human rights.
