RBC Royal Bank has announced the re-opening of two key branches in western New Providence.

The RBC Airport and RBC Lyford Cay branches have both been rebuilt in new locations.

RBC has a total of 26 branches in The Bahamas, 15 of which are in New Providence.

During RBC’s 105 year presence in The Bahamas, the bank has grown from the original staff of three to an organization that today employs more than 800 professionals.

RBC has been the sole bank at the Nassau International Airport since 1957. As part of the Bahamas Airport Gateway Project, the RBC Airport branch is now located at the new Domestic Terminal, Lynden Pindling International Airport.

The branch opened its doors on October 27, 2013. The new 3,037 sq ft facility is managed by Renae Walkine.

Situated at the junction of Charlottesville Estate and Turnberry in the Old Fort Bay Plaza, the RBC Lyford Cay branch is a 6,000 square foot, stand-alone modern banking location.

The bank invested $3 million in the development of the state of the art branch, which has an expanded customer lounge, modernized furniture and fixtures and an open floor plan.

The branch opened its doors on September 30, 2013, under the leadership of branch manager Lindsey Peterson.

“We are proud to open the doors of our RBC Airport branch and Lyford Cay Bbranch,” said Nathaniel Beneby, managing director, RBC Bahamas, Cayman and Turks & Caicos Islands.

“The expansion of our branch network fulfills our commitment and dedication to serving our clients throughout The Bahamas. RBC has invested significantly in these new branches and looks forward to providing added convenience to our customers and service to our growing personal and business client base.”
