During the final day of the 39th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community, Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis said that several matters of significant importance had been addressed at the summit held in Jamaica, July 4-6.

Bahamas Independence 45th Grand Anniversary Celebrations were held at Clifford Park July 9, 2018 leading up to the early hours of Independence Day, July 10, with Ecumenical service, concert, military tattoo, and a fireworks display.
