ALT TAG HEREATLANTIS, PARADISE ISLAND April 26, 2017 (Atlantis Press Office) – Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in The Bahamas will unveil the complete renovation of Coral Towers and a fully transformed Marina Village this July, 2017. Reservations open today for summer travel. Long known as a distinct mecca for family entertainment and its breathtaking beaches, Atlantis will introduce cutting edge offerings and creative amenities to continue driving its status as the top family travel vacation destination where fun, education, culture and purpose come together.

“We’ve taken a step back to look to the future of Atlantis and truly understand what motivates today’s travelers to choose a destination,” said Howard C. Karawan, President and Managing Director of Atlantis, Paradise Island. “This July, we will introduce the newly renovated Coral Towers at Atlantis along with a brand new Marina Village that will allow our guests to connect with Bahamian culture.”

NEW ROOMS, NEW LOBBY, NEW POOL
A relaxed, family escape begins when guests enter the new Lobby Lounge designed in corals, teals, with woven chairs clustered to engage conversation. The centerpiece of the Lobby is a Soda Fountain serving milkshakes, espresso and coffee drinks, cocktails, patisserie and gelato. Opened throughout the day and evening, the Soda Fountain will offer the option to gather to play a game, share a story or taste new signature items.

The redesigned contemporary rooms and suites are wrapped in ocean hues and soft palettes of coral and sandy golds, highlighting a serene beach atmosphere. Furnished with modern, light grey tile flooring, mahogany wood-based furniture and decor, chic white bedding and textured headboards, rooms are framed with crisp window treatments reflective of the Bahamian sun. Room categories include King and Double Queen Beds to accommodate families and have a variety of views including Terrace, Garden and Ocean. Guest bathrooms feature new flooring, vanity accents and modern showers and bathtubs. The corridors, a prelude to guest rooms, will be draped in warm-toned carpeting and ocean-inspired lighting and artwork.

Exclusive amenities will include pint-sized robes and an in-room refrigerator with the ability to pre-purchase snacks.
The new, sparkling blue and white poolscape, designed by renowned architect Jeffrey Beers of Jeffrey Beers International (JBI), will provide a stunning environment with private cabanas, family-friendly water activities and a swim-up popsicle bar featuring locally-made, preservative-free frozen treats prepared daily with Bahamian fruit.

THE CORAL FAMILY TRIP PLANNER
Starting today, Atlantis will introduce a dedicated Family Trip Planner exclusive to guests of The Coral Towers.  The complimentary service is designed to offer customizable package design that includes poolside cabana rental, family swims at Dolphin Cay, day and evening #kid activities at Atlantis Kids Adventures, dining reservations and food allergy requests.  The Family Trip Planners will also assist families in choosing purposeful activities to connect them to local Bahamian culture and ecology, opportunities to explore the coral reefs and marine environments and to spend time together in pursuit of indelible learning moments. Babysitting services are also available for pre-booking through the service.  Parents can be assured that each babysitter at Atlantis is CPR certified, has childcare qualifications and has received a thorough background and security check.

THE NEW MARINA VILLAGE
The new Marina Village will curate the best of the #Bahamas – a celebration of the culture, taste and spirit of the country. Foodies, guests and locals can partake in regional experiences and interactions, savoring local flavors, shopping from island artisans during weekend markets and seasonal festivals featuring performances by Bahamian musicians. In July, Marina Village will open and feature local favorites such as an authentic fish fry; the Bahamas’ Best conch salad and a craft beer from a local brewery served in a tasting hall.

This April, Atlantis launched Art Walk, a market every other Saturday where guests can support local Bahamian artisans as well as sample locally grown and made products.  Marina Village will continue to feature seasonal festivals such as Junkanoo, a meaningful traditional parade filled with dancers and musicians deeply rooted in Bahamian history. The combination of these tastes, sights, sounds and immersive learning opportunities will allow guests to depart with a true sense of the Bahamas’ spirit and culture.
