Minister for Grand Bahama Michael Darville has announced that travel marketing company Royal Seas Cruises has commenced marketing cruise and stay vacation packages to Grand Bahama that are expected to generate over 50,000 stopover visitors and 100,000 visitor nights, with some 80 per cent of guests hosted at their preferred resort partner, the Grand Lucayan Resort.
The value to the Grand Bahamian economy of Royal Seas Cruises is projected to reach some $16.5 million in direct spend and represents the cornerstone of Grand Lucayan’s business.
“We look forward to a strengthening relationship with Royal Seas Cruises as one of the principal drivers of sea stopover business to Grand Bahama enabled by the new Bahamas Paradise Cruise Lines, which offers some 182 year round departures between the Port of Palm Beach and Grand Bahama that is projected to deliver some 300,000 annual visitors,” said Minister Darville.
