Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) has updated the brand identity of its Bahamas business. The refreshed brand of Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) seeks to create a new identity for the business and more strongly emphasizes BTC’s customer-focused approach.

The launch of a new interactive web site is central to the brand update. The revamped web site includes improved navigation and interactive features. An expanded BTC customer support database includes videos, articles and frequently asked questions, but also enables web site visitors to leave their own tips.

Customers can also search a complete database of all the mobile handsets and tablets which BTC sells and compare different models to find the one that best suits their needs and lifestyle. Customers can now purchase all BTC’s products and services online. The web site will work better for those accessing it from smartphones or tablets.

BTC has refreshed its brand logo and changed its tag line to ‘Everyday’ to reflect the company’s growing commitment to listen, improve and deliver positive change and progress – everyday. Yellow and blue, the main brand-material colors are inspired from the Bahamian flag and royal purple was injected to capture and infuse the vibrancy and creativity of the Bahamian culture, particularly Junkanoo, into BTC’s company culture, the operator said.

The new logo will appear on BTC’s marketing materials and its headquarters in Nassau before being gradually introduced across other Bahamian islands.

Ultrapetrol (Bahamas) Ltd (Nasdaq:ULTR), an industrial transportation company serving marine transportation needs in three markets (River Business, Offshore Supply Business, and Ocean Business), will host a luncheon for the investment community at midday December 9 in New York.

Local legal expert urges Bahamian lawyers to keep up with the pace of change, as international business and cross-border transactions increase and legislation evolves.
