Ambassador Elliston Rahming, The Bahamas’ Washington, DC-based permanent representative to the Organization of American States (OAS), chaired the opening session of the 43rd General Assembly of OAS in Antigua, Guatemala on June 5.

Ultrapetrol (Bahamas) Ltd (Nasdaq:ULTR), an industrial transportation company serving marine transportation needs in three markets (River Business, Offshore Supply Business and Ocean Business), announced yesterday the closing of its previously announced sale of $200 million in aggregate principal amount of its 8.875 per cent First Preferred Ship Mortgage Notes due 2021.

Water and Sewerage Corp has announced that it has signed a water and wastewater services agreement with mega-resort Baha Mar and agreed a contract for the construction of a 1 million gallon per day wastewater treatment plant off Gladstone Road.
