Bahamian dignitaries travel to Olympics

Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes and Lady Foulkes will attend the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics in London at the end of this week.

XXXXXX Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes and Lady Foulkes will leave The Bahamas July 24 to travel to London where they will attend the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics.

They will attend a reception at Buckingham Palace prior to the event.

Sir Arthur and Lady Foulkes will also visit the Bahamian contingent at the Olympic Village in London.

Anita Johnson-Patty, Ministry of Tourism communications general manager in Plantation, Florida, says that the government has stepped up efforts to engage the US market through social media, as well as reopening an office in Atlanta to help tap niche markets.
