Etienne Dupuch Jr Publications Ltd is pleased to announce the release of the Fall & Winter 2019 issue of The Bahamas Investor magazine, featuring an exclusive interview with Deltec CEO Odetta Morton, a look at the work of the newly launched Small Business Development Centre and the story behind The Bahamas’ record-breaking tourism boom.

Crammed with insightful features, investor information and financial services sector news, The Bahamas Investor is an indispensable tool for anyone looking to invest or do business in The Bahamas.

In this latest issue, CEO of Deltec Bank & Trust Odetta Morton shares her vision for the bank, saying: “The priority is to leverage our strengths as we continue to invest significantly in digital and innovation strategies.”

Morton, who took up her position in April this year, is ambitious about Deltec’s future and confident that it can weather any challenges. “Disruption is rapidly impacting the financial services industry across the globe, and Deltec is nimble enough to adapt. Change is inevitable but it also presents exciting new opportunities.”

Another industry enjoying new opportunities is tourism. This edition of The Bahamas Investor magazine focuses on current developments in the sector with stories on the Ministry of Tourism’s innovative marketing campaign, the continuing rejuvenation of Lynden Pindling International Airport and projects in the pipeline for Nassau’s cruise port.

Savvy small business owners are hoping to build linkages with the thriving tourism sector and helping many of them realise their entrepreneurial dreams is the Small Business Development Centre (SBDC), headed by executive director Davinia Blair.

In this issue Blair shares her thoughts on the future of the SBDC and its accomplishments so far, saying: “Expanding and encouraging small businesses is an easy method to create sustainable growth and one that has been used around the world.”
