Grand Lucayan appoints new director of Rooms Division

The Grand Lucayan resort hotel in Freeport, Grand Bahama, has named Roderick Colebrook as its new director of Rooms Division.

GRAND BAHAMA ISLAND, Bahamas – Grand Lucayan, Bahamas has named Roderick Colebrook (pictured) as its new Director of Rooms Division.

In his role, Mr. Colebrook will oversee the world-class Senses Spa, front office, guest services and retail for the resort, which offers a classic Bahamian experience just 55 miles from the Florida coast.


Colebrook brings years of expertise in hotel and casino management and strong leadership skills to his position at Grand Lucayan. Most recently, he was at Kerzner International in the Bahamas, rising to the position of senior director of casino marketing from an initial role as a project manager in the rooms division.

Colebrook developed his leadership style at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, where he was recruited to the prestigious Management Associate Program. He began his career as hotel assistant manager at the Sheraton Grand Hotel on Paradise Island.

Fuelstream Inc announced today that Paul Major has accepted an engagement by the Office of the Prime Minister of The Bahamas to be the chairman of a new committee. Major has tendered his resignation as a member of the board of directors of the company.

Prime Minister Perry Christie says that he expects the telecommunications market to be liberalized in The Bahamas by the end of next year. Watch a ZNS Network news report here.
