Rockwell Island luxury development breaks ground on Bimini

Bimini Bay Resort celebrated the groundbreaking of their $250-million second phase of luxury oceanfront homes called Rockwell Island Beach Estates, reports Latin American Residential News. The exclusive community plans to offer a high level of luxury living, with amenities such as a state-of-the-art wellness center complete with meditation garden, spa, swimming pool and sports facilities.

This past week Bimini Bay Resort celebrated the groundbreaking of their second phase of luxury oceanfront homes called Rockwell Island Beach Estates.

This exclusive beachfront retreat, developed by RAV Bahamas, plans to offer future residences a high level of luxury living with amenities such as a state-of-the-art wellness center complete with meditation garden, spa, swimming pool and sports facilities.


Rockwell Island has 105 home sites available to purchase with completed home prices to range from $2 million to over $4 million. The community has been conceived as an exclusive resort community with 5-star services ideal for second-home buyers and those seeking a Caribbean lifestyle where luxury is easily accessible.

Upon its completion, the project’s lavishly designed beachfront residences and resort will offer tenants and guests the total lifestyle experience complete with swimming pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, children’s area and fine dining establishments.

UPDATE (April 25/12): As work begins on phase two of RAV Bahamas' $250 million Bimini Bay Resort development, The Bahamas Investor looks back a year, to when the project was first launched. ORIGINAL (April 8/11): Bimini Bay Resort and Marina is to undergo a transformation, as new operator RockResorts plans a resort-wide re-branding exercise with boutique hotel, spa and beach club. The luxury brand is also looking to put in place a fast ferry service linking the North Bimini with Florida.
