There is no better way for a college football fan to kick off their Thanksgiving weekend than tuning in to the 2013 edition of the Battle 4 Atlantis.

This epic tournament—hosted in a converted ballroom at the famous Atlantis Resorts in the Bahamas—features eight elite teams vying for the title.

No. 2 Kansas is far-and-away the most talented program in the field, but No. 23 Iowa is also ranked inside the Top 25, and there are a number of underrated schools looking to make a splash on Paradise Island.

An organized group of owners that represents the majority of the home and property owners at The Abaco Club on Winding Bay in The Bahamas has announced that the club's owner, Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: VAC), has offered members of the club the opportunity to purchase the property for $28 million.

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — An organized group of owners that represents the majority of the home and property owners at The Abaco Club on Winding Bay in The Bahamas (“the Abaco homeowners”) announced that the Club’s owner, Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation (“Marriott Vacations”) (NYSE: VAC), has offered Members of the Club the opportunity to purchase the property for $28 million. This offer was made after Marriott Vacations had failed to offer the homeowners the opportunity to acquire the property before the Club was brought to market. In a recently filed lawsuit, the homeowners seek, among other forms of relief, a permanent injunction barring Marriott Vacations from selling the Club, based upon the homeowners’ claimed rights with respect to acquiring the property.

B4ALOS ANGELES, Nov. 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Basketball fans will be able to catch standout freshman Andrew Wiggins and the second-ranked University of Kansas men’s basketball team as they play Wake Forest in the Battle 4 Atlantis Men’s College Basketball Tournament on AXS TV starting at 3:30 p.m. ET | 12:30 p.m. PT on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 28.

Battle 4 Atlantis, which continues through Saturday, Nov. 30, will be televised live on AXS TV from the 3,900-seat arena at the famed Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in the Bahamas. Alongside the University of Kansas and Wake Forest, the tournament features Villanova University, University of Tennessee, University of Southern California, University of Iowa, Xavier University, and University of Texas at El Paso.

Ministry of Tourism officials welcomed Silver Airways’ inaugural flight to Freeport, Grand Bahama International Airport, November 21, 2013, from West Palm Beach, Florida.

The flight brought to Freeport the airline’s president and chief executive officer David Pflieger.

Speaking at the event, director general of tourism David Johnson said he was proud and pleased to see Freeport take back its rightful place in the tourism market.
