Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Mari Carmen Aponte will travel to Nassau, The Bahamas, October 27–28, to assess hurricane recovery efforts and meet with senior government officials on a range of bilateral and regional issues.

Acting Assistant Secretary Aponte will also participate in events to underscore the importance of civil society and to promote youth empowerment.
