Foreign Ministry issues statement on Paris attack

Here follows a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to the recent terrorist attacks in Paris:

The government of The Bahamas stands with the international community in expessing its deep regrets over the loss of life from the horrific shootings in Paris.


We condemn these barbaric acts in the strongest terms. We extend our condolences to the families of the victims.

Instructions were given to our Honorary Consul in Kingston to convey these sentiments tonight to the French Ambassador to The Bahamas who lives there. A diplomatic note will follow.

The Bahamas stands ready to work with our Caricom allies and the international community to combat this problem.

The Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB) has announced that Betty Roberts has been selected as the Recipient for the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding, sustained contribution to the industry.

KRyS Global, an international fraud investigation and dispute resolution firm with offices in Nassau, has announced the opening of its London arm this week, the eighth office in the firm.
