Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Perry Christie will officially open and name the building that houses the Office of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs tomorrow.

The offices will be housed in the Paul L Adderley Building, which will be named during a special ceremony to commemorate the life and legacy of the late Paul L Adderley.

Adderley, who died on September 19, 2012, was the first and longest serving attorney general of an independent Bahamas, having served 1973-89. He was also a former Cabinet Minister and Parliamentarian.

Minister of Labour and National Insurance and Minister of the Public Service Shane Gibson along with attorney general and Minister of Legal Affairs Allyson Maynard-Gibson and Minister of State for Legal Affairs Damien Gomez and others are expected to attend the event.

The Bahamas has been getting plenty of media coverage in the US due to Bahamasair's launch of a direct service between Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, Alabama, and Grand Bahama. Watch an interview with Carmel Churchill of the Grand Bahama Tourism Board here.

Grand Bahama is seeing an increase in airlift, benefitting everyone in the tourism industry, while the Memories resort is also attracting more visitors to the Port Lucaya area. Watch a video about the changes here.
