Autograph CollectionBETHESDA, MD, USA – OCTOBER 21, 2014 – Atlantis, Paradise Island, the newest Autograph Collection Hotel, is officially available to book through Marriott.com.

Marriott Rewards members may now earn and redeem points while staying at Atlantis when reservations are made directly on one of the following websites: Marriott.com, Autographhotels.com and MarriottRewards.com.

Atlantis is the largest hotel in the portfolio.

“This is a significant milestone for both Marriott International and Autograph Collection,” says Tina Edmundson, global officer, Luxury & Lifestyle Brands, Marriott International. “We are excited to partner with one of the world’s most iconic resorts to offer our guests a further extended global resort portfolio in which members of the Marriott Rewards loyalty programme can benefit.”

“Our partnership with the Autograph Collection is arguably the single most significant tourism stimulus for The Bahamas in this decade,” adds George Markantonis, president and managing director of Brookfield Hospitality and Atlantis.

“Our strategic and beneficial partnership will increase visitation of Marriott Rewards members to the country, opening a broader channel for international guests to visit Atlantis.”

A new development on Grand Bahamas called Ascot was launched at the end of last week. Described as "barefoot elegance," Ascot is set to create a sought after luxury development that caters to "people seeking a finer lifestyle that excludes casinos, crowds and traffic jams."

Preliminary indicators suggest the continuation of a mildly positive growth outcome for the Bahamas' economy during the month of August, supported by on-going gains in tourism and a stable contribution from foreign investment-led construction activity, according to the Monthly Economic and Financial Developments report released by The Central Bank of The Bahamas.
