Nassau, Bahamas (PRWEB) December 11, 2013 — HG Christie Ltd. (HGC), the oldest full-service real estate brokerage in The Bahamas has once again been recognized as ‘Best Real Estate Agency for The Bahamas’, in the esteemed 2013 International Property Awards for the Americas competition.

Entering for The Bahamas in two categories, ‘Real Estate Agency’ and ‘Real Estate Website’, HG Christie captured top awards in both categories. These accomplishments positioned HGC to repeat last year’s commendable feat of capturing regional recognition for The Caribbean as well. HG Christie has already been notified that its progressive website, designed by industry leaders NobleMouse.com, won not only for The Bahamas, but has also captured the regional award for The Caribbean.

Successful and notable entrants attended a high-profile gala and presentation dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Dec. 6th, 2013. Winning organizations received the awards and learned whether advanced honours have been secured. HG Christie and Noble Mouse were in attendance along with representatives from Christie’s International Real Estate.

The Americas Property Awards are part of the long established International Property Awards, the world’s richest competition when measured by the value of the projects entered. The Americas Property Awards rank amongst the most prestigious commendations in the residential and commercial property industries. Participants from the United States, Canada, Central and South America, and the Caribbean enter representing their country and have the chance to win at a state, national, regional, or international level. A high-calibre jury of international experts identifies the most significant building projects as well as the highest quality real estate agencies, industry marketing campaigns and websites. Awards are distributed for development, architecture, interior design and real estate categories.

The highest scoring winners from the Americas will be announced as the best in their region and be automatically entered into the International Property Awards final competition. The Americas regional winners will compete against other regional winners from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the UK. While the other regions have been waiting for months to see if they are an International Property Awards ‘World’s Best’ winner, the Americas nominees will learn if they have succeeded in obtaining a ‘World’s Best’ award at the International Property Awards event on the same day.

Stuart Shield, president of the International Property Awards, said, “Our Americas regional competition covers a very large geographical area and a variety of diverse cultures but all the winners have one thing in common: high quality and innovation presented in their winning projects and excellent service provided to clients.”

The judging panel consists of approximately 70 professionals including Andrew Panting, Director of Operations for the British Property Federation, Peter Bolton King, Global Residential Director of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS); and Christian Morris, Director / Owner of architectural firm Yotomo Ltd.

The International Property Awards is also hosting business and networking events to coincide with the gathering of the world’s leading developers, architects, interiors designers and real estate agents. A number of professional networking events, including seminars, discussion tables and an exhibition will be attended by guests from the upper-echelons of their organizations, including chairmen, CEOs, and managing directors from all over the globe. The business activities are open to all industry related companies, property buyers and investors.

For some perspective on the current state of the stock market, this chart presents the long-term trend of the Russell 2000 (small-cap stocks). As the chart illustrates, the Russell 2000 rallied from late 2002 into the mid-2007 and then effectively gave all of that back during the financial crisis.
