Bringing remarks at the Bahamas Association of Compliance Officers (BACO) 8th Annual Northern Bahamas Conference held in Freeport April 25, Minister for Grand Bahama Michael Darville said he was considering new laws to properly regulate the maritime and industrial sectors.

In recent years, hotel company SuperClubs has been selling off some of its resort holdings, but company chairman John Issa (pictured) says the disposals are not part of a strategic plan to restructure the group, but a response to buyers offering deals. The resort group is currently focusing efforts on property upgrades in The Bahamas, but it is also on the hunt for other investments.
