Grand Lucayan Bahamas hires new national sales managers

Grand Lucayan Bahamas on Grand Bahama has appointed David Margolis and Lynn Scarpelli as national sales managers for the 519-room resort.

Grand Lucayan, Bahamas on Grand Bahama Island has appointed David Margolis and Lynn Scarpelli as national sales managers for the 519-room resort.

An industry veteran, Margolis brings 28 years of hospitality-related sales and marketing experience to the resort. Prior to his appointment at Grand Lucayan, Margolis served as director of sales and marketing at various resorts, including Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort in Puerto Rico; Renaissance PineIsle Resort in Georgia as well as multiple Florida resorts, including the Doubletree Palm Beach Gardens Hotel & Executive Meeting Center, Atlantic Resort & Spa and Coral Springs Marriott Hotel, Golf Club and Convention Center. Margolis graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management.


Scarpelli joins the Grand Lucayan team with more than 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, particularly in group sales in Florida and the Northeastern United States. Prior to her appointment, Scarpelli served as senior sales manager at several Florida hotels and resorts, including Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale and national sales manager at TradeWinds Island Resorts in St. Petersburg and Pier House Resort and Caribbean Spa in Key West.

She is a member of various organizations including Meeting Professionals International, National Association of Professional Women, the Auction Committee for Broward Boys & Girls Club and is on the Board of Directors for Hoping for a Cause, which benefits the MS Foundation. Scarpelli holds a Bachelor’s degree in travel and tourism from Niagara University in New York.
