Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis arrived in St Lucia yesterday for the 40th Regular Meeting of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).


Prime Minister Minnis is leading a delegation that includes Minister of Foreign Affairs, Darren Henfield; Minister of Tourism and Aviation, Dionisio D’Aguilar; Bahamas Ambassador to CARICOM, Reuben Rahming; and Adrian Gibson, MP.

Regional leaders will discuss tourism, finance, the situation in Venezuela, security and other matters.

Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis is to attend the CARICOM Heads of Government conference being held today in St. Lucia.

According to The Central Bank of The Bahamas’ latest report, indications are that the domestic economy maintained its modest pace of expansion during May, as increased visitor traffic for the Easter holiday period, sustained the growth in tourism, while ongoing medium and small-scale foreign investment projects supported activity in the construction sector.
