Officials from The Bahamas will meet with representatives from other member states of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on crime and security, disaster management and recovery, and emerging geo-political developments that can have an impact on the region’s growth prospects at the 39th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community, July 4-6, 2018 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Prime Minister, Dr Hubert Minnis will lead The Bahamas delegation to that meeting to also join deliberations on measures impacting the implementation of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME).

Minister for Grand Bahama Kwasi Thompson officially opened the Information and Communications Technology Summer Programme last week at the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute in Grand Bahama.

Developments within the domestic economy remained largely positive during the review period of May 2018, as tourism indicators continued to trend upwards, while foreign investment projects supported construction-related activity, according to the latest report from The Central Bank of The Bahamas.
