Doha, Qatar–Fred Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with Dr Michael Darville, Minister for Grand Bahama, paid a courtesy call on the President of Qatar Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani following the opening of the Doha Economic Forum in Doha, the capital of Qatar May 12, 2014.

The Bahamas established diplomatic relations with Qatar last year.

Qatar’s Washington Ambassador visited The Bahamas earlier this year where he was hosted by Dr Darville in Grand Bahama.

The Bahamas is being showcased in Qatar and United Arab Emirates as a secure country for investment.
