V W Resorts LogoMIAMI, June 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Viva Wyndham Resorts® announced today that the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach on Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas and its two properties in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, including Viva Wyndham Azteca and Viva Wyndham Maya, have received awards of excellence from two of the world’s leading travel sites.

The Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach received the Travelocity Excellence Award 2012. The annual award is given to one hotel per destination and recognizes overall performance and customer service. Only the best 500 hotels around the world offered on Travelocity are eligible to receive this recognition.

The Viva Wyndham Azteca and Viva Wyndham Maya have been awarded TripAdvisor® Certificates of Excellence 2013. The certificates recognize outstanding hospitality and exceptional guest reviews which include ratings and feedback on amenities, guest rooms, activities, food, staff and more.

The Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach offers 276 island inspired guest rooms with balconies and features a secluded beach with 1,200 feet of white sands and crystal clear waters. As the only all-inclusive resort on the island, it is surrounded by tropical forests and parklands. Additionally, one of the world’s largest reef systems is located just off shore which makes for memorable snorkeling. The resort is a 45-minute flight from Florida and 13 miles from Freeport Airport.

The Viva Wyndham Azteca and Viva Wyndham Maya are located on the breathtaking Mayan Riviera on the east coast of the Yucatan and are situated on stunning white sand beaches. Playa Del Carmen offers incredible shopping and nightlife. Guests can explore nearby sites such as the Mayan Reef, the second-longest barrier reef in the world which offers world-class diving just offshore, the Mayan Ruins Tulum or Chichen Itza. Guests of both properties can also luxuriate at The Renova Spa, located at Viva Wyndham Maya, which offers a full-array of spa services, including massage, body treatments and holistic therapies.
