RBC Royal Bank has announced its sponsorship of the upcoming 41st Bahamas Red Cross Ball.

A donation was made to commemorate the 26th Anniversary of the RBC Cable Beach Branch.

RBC is a platinum sponsor of the Red Cross Ball and the sponsorship includes funding for organizing the Red Cross Ball, public relations and marketing support and the purchase of a table.

Each year the annual ball is the first major fundraiser of the Bahamas Red Cross Society. The charity gala is crucial to the continued success of the many social outreach programs developed and sustained by the Bahamas Red Cross.

The 41st Bahamas Red Cross Society Ball will take place January 26, 2013, in the Crystal Ballroom, Wyndham Nassau Resort, Cable Beach.

Jan Knowles, RBC manager, public relations and communication said: “RBC is pleased to sponsor the 41st Bahamas Red Cross Ball. From a small house fire to hurricane disaster response, the Bahamas Red Cross is there in times of need for Bahamians who experience hardship or whose lives have been affected by some catastrophe.”

“RBC is proud to do our part to ensure the Red Cross is ready and equipped to respond when disaster strikes.”

Caroline Turnquest, director general, Bahamas Red Cross Society said: “The Bahamas Red Cross is always grateful to our corporate sponsors. We thank RBC for their continued support through the years. It is because of this support that the Red Cross is able to continue its valuable work.”

Robin Erickson (pictured), specialist leader, human capital, Deloitte Consulting LLP, will be a featured speaker at the upcoming International Business & Finance Summit in Bimini.

For The Bahamas to become a successful international arbitration hub, the Bahamas Branch of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators is launching a training initiative in March to build a local cadre of skilled professionals.
