Local television broadcaster ZNS has reported that a major supermarket store chain has been sold to a competitor, while Arawak Port Development Company shares have been launched on the local stock exchange. Watch the full report here.

Bahamas Deputy Prime Minister Brent Symonette joined US President Barack Obama and 32 other Heads of State and Government at the event held in Cartagena, Columbia, April 14-15.

The wealth being produced by emerging economies is producing a more discerning type of tourist, one that pays more attention to quality of service than to expense, according to Julius Baer chief economist. This, he says, is something on which The Bahamas should capitalize.
