The Pointe development celebrated another milestone on its journey to completion yesterday with a "topping off" ceremony for One Particular Harbour and the official unveiling of Seven, The Pointe’s entertainment venue.

The Pointe development celebrated another milestone on its journey to completion yesterday with a “topping off” ceremony for One Particular Harbour and the official unveiling of Seven, The Pointe’s entertainment venue.

The center, located next to the British Colonial Hilton, includes a movie theater, bowling lanes, virtual reality games room, bar, karaoke lounge and meeting rooms. Dignitaries and invited guests browsed the complex last night during a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark its opening. Developers China Construction America (CCA) are also celebrating the launch of One Particular Harbour – The Pointe’s luxury oceanfront condos which are now open for sale.

According to CCA senior Vice President and president of The Pointe Daniel Liu 25 per cent of the units have already been snapped up due to early interest from both local and international buyers.

Prime Minister Hubert Minnis praised The Pointe for its contribution to downtown Nassau’s revitalization, saying: “The entertainment center is strategically located as thousands of visitors and residents traverse this path every day. We very enthusiastically look forward to The Pointe’s completion and the transformation of our city of Nassau.”

When fully finished, the downtown development will also feature a 150-room Margaritaville Beach Resort, waterpark, 46 slip marina, yacht club and retail and dining outlets. The Pointe is expected to open in spring 2020.

Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis has said that the government will make a decision by next week on the proposed development of the Lighthouse Point beach property on Eleuthera.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Peter Turnquest is currently attending the 2018 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Bali, Indonesia, which runs October 8-15.
