Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Daniel Johnson welcomed participants in the 2014 PureSilk-Bahamas LPGA Classic during a pairing reception at Atlantis Paradise Island January 21, 2014.
The evening affair was held at the Royal Towers, where the pro golfers were officially welcomed and paired before teeing off today.
Minister Johnson said The Bahamas was honoured to have the best female golfers in the world in tournament.
The PureSilk-Bahamas LPGA has attracted about 108 players who will compete on the Ocean Club Golf Course over four days for a chance to win approximately $1million.
This is the second time the tournament is being held The Bahamas in conjunction with the Ministry of Tourism. It ends Sunday, January 26.
