Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba Ernesto Soberon Guzman made his first official visit to Grand Bahama March 11, calling on Minister for Grand Bahama Michael Darville.

During the visit the discussions centred on healthcare, education, agriculture, trade and cultural exchanges.

The Bahamas government has legislated for a new property tax amnesty, which encourages taxpayers to join the property tax registry and settle any outstanding tax dues.

Anita Johnson-Patty, general manager, communications (The Americas), Bahamas Ministry of Tourism has been named among The Network Journal (TNJ) business magazine's 2013 list of 25 Influential Black Women in Business.
