Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis April 26, 2019 addressed the official opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Poinciana House corporate centre on East Bay Street, which houses the Insurance Commission of The Bahamas, Securities Commission of The Bahamas, and Compliance Commission of The Bahamas, as well as other financial offices.


Prime Minister Minnis said the move into Poinciana House by the various commissions opens the door to a bright future.

Projected numbers for the five-day period April 18-22 estimate that more than 75,000 passengers moved through the three terminal buildings at Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau.

The Central Bank of The Bahamas has released its 2018 Annual Report, which contains a summary of the bank's operations over the year, an analysis of regulatory developments affecting the financial sector and a review of monetary policy, as well as payment systems developments.
