Value added tax (VAT) Education Team members paid a courtesy call on the Ministry for Grand Bahama September 10.

The team is in Grand Bahama to hold a series of Public Education Forums.

The first of the series was held yesterday at the Foster B Pestaina Parish Hall at Christ the King Church, Freeport, Grand Bahama, Wednesday.

Today’s session will be at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, West End and the St. Matthew’s Baptist Church, Pelican Point in East Grand Bahama, will host the forum on Friday.

A basketball team made up of Atlantis employees recently took part in The Bahamas Basketball Federation’s (BBF) Summer of Thunder event, which provided the opportunity for local basketball coaches and athletes to compete against teams from US Colleges, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

Genting Malaysia Bhd’s indirect 70 per cent-owned unit, BB Entertainment Ltd (BBEL), is acquiring a piece of land from RAV Bahamas Ltd for $24.6 million.
