Chief executive officer and president of Globals Inc, Suhas Gopinath addressed the Junior Achievement Bahamas First Private Sector Lunch and Lecture for Corporate Executives and Business Studies Students at the British Colonial Hilton earlier in the week.

In his address, Gopinath encouraged students, educators and business stakeholders to see every obstacle as an opportunity.

Gopinath, who is only 24 years old, was recognized as the world’s youngest entrepreneur by CNBC and e-Business after he launched a website at the age of 14, and incorporated his company the same year.

Bahamas high commissioner and permanent representative to the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) paid a courtesy call on Koji Sekimizu, secretary-general of the IMO, in London at the end of last week (pictured after the jump). The two spoke about the upcoming Marine Environment Protection Committee Meeting and the safety of passengers on ships, among other things.
