Prince Harry tours The Bahamas – photos

Third in line to the British throne, Prince Harry, arrived in The Bahamas on March 3 for a three-day tour of the Commonwealth country. The Prince is visiting the jurisdiction as part of the Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. See photos of the visit here.

During an address to the Bahamian people this week, Prince Harry said that The Bahamas held a "special place" in Queen Elizabeth II's heart. The heir to the throne is in The Bahamas as part of a tour to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Watch a video of the address and highlights of the three-day tour here.

The government has said that existing legislation will designate 50 per cent of the Bahamas territory as Marine Protected Areas. This coincides with the release of results of a recent survey of coral reefs in The Bahamas, which has revealed their vulnerability to overfishing and climate change.
